We have really enjoyed our Design and Technology unit so far. We first learnt how to identify whether a food is a fruit or a vegetable (whether it has seeds or not) We were seed detectives when exploring a range of fruit and vegetables and worked as teams to categorise them correctly. We then learnt where different fruit and vegetables grow- under/ above the ground or on trees/vines. This afternoon we practiced our chopping and juicing skills ready for making smoothies next week. We chopped bananas, cucumbers, carrots, peppers and celery. I was so impressed with how careful the children were! Of course we tasted the food too. Fab work Elephants!
